- Participant Research at Emily Carr University
Would you like to be a participant in creative-practice research at Emily Carr University?
The Research Department at Emily Carr supports large and small research projects. Many emerging projects rely on the involvement of participants during a project’s development. For example, participants may be asked to try out design prototypes, to discuss a design strategy within a group, or to attend an event. A benefit to being a participant in a design or art-based research project, is the experience gained in learning about the development of the products and ideas that influence everyday life. Research projects have other benefits for participants built into their design. There may be prize draws, refreshments, or invitations to final presentations about the work.
