Each year, the Next 36 chooses 36 young Canadian innovators and challenge them to build a new business venture or iterate and scale an existing idea with enormous potential.
For eight months, these young entrepreneurs are mentored by successful Canadian entrepreneurs and business leaders, taught by some of the world’s top faculty, and seek funding from top investors to build their venture.
The Next 36 is looking for students who…

They have entrepreneurial traits and a track record which indicates their aptitude for turning ideas into results-oriented outcomes.

They have shown that they can lead a team effectively and rally people around a vision or entrepreneurial idea.
Have the intellectual horsepower to tackle complex problems.
As evidenced by academic achievements, GPA, competitions, work experience and domain expertise.
Have the potential to build a globally-significant company.
They think big, take on big problems, and aren’t intimidated by the possibility of failure.
Eligibility: University students and masters students in their last two years of study or who have graduated within the past year. Applicants must be Canadian citizens.
