The Shumka Centre is pleased to announce a new pilot initiative for graduating students during The Show this spring.
Next step meetings are short one-on-one meetings with graduating students in front of their grad project and are intended to help shape ‘next steps’ for project actualization, particularly suited to self-starters and those who want to work for themselves.
Advice is tailored to specific students and their projects, and can lead toward introductions to curators, funders, studios or mentors; help students make connections to workspaces or think through job opportunities; point toward funding sources or other resources; and frame development models or look at how to advance projects (co-op models, collectives, etc.).
One-on-one meetings will be held May 7 – 16, 2019.
