Steve is currently the director of Good Health Design, a collaborative design studio at Auckland University of Technology. This multidisciplinary team aims to develop better health and wellbeing experiences.
Prior to this, Steve’s most well-known project has been the Design Health and Wellbeing Lab at Auckland Hospital (2013-2018). This was New Zealand’s first collaboration between a university design school and a hospital with a design studio; this won the top prize at the Best Awards — New Zealand’s foremost design awards. Steve will talk about the design team’s experiences with establishing a hospital design lab and working in healthcare, as well as the opportunities that have come from it.
