Coordinator, Health Design Lab
Nadia is the research coordinator of the Health Design Lab. Within this role, Nadia provides project support for our the research projects at the lab. She is responsible for the management of project schedules, budgets, student hiring, as well as the coordination of workshops and research activities — including ethics applications, participant recruitment, and workshop synthesis for specific HDL projects.
Nadia is also a Graduate Research Assistant and Communication Designer at a BC Children’s Hospital Research Institute (BCCHR) Lab and a Girl Guide leader. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree with specializations in Life Sciences and Mathematics from the University of British Columbia, and a Certificate in Communication Design from Emily Carr University/British Columbia Institute of Technology. Nadia is currently pursuing a Master of Research of Healthcare + Design at the Royal College of Art, in London, UK. Through her work at HDL and BCCHR, she has been involved in health research projects for the past 6 years and her interests reside in harmonizing qualitative and quantitative scientific and design research methodologies to humanize health research.
