Research Assistant, Design for Regional Resilience 2022
Alex Swanson is an industrial designer, artist and storyteller from Bellingham, Washington. Currently he is completing his 4th year of Industrial Design at Emily Carr University of Art and Design. His design practice is motivated by his love of nature and concern for ecological wellbeing. His ideas are inspired by the mundane as well as the extraordinary, knowing that ideas are found in the crashing of waves, the scuffing of shoes or a crack in the sidewalk. Alex uses storytelling as a means to engage with his community and build sustainable practices.
