Have you ever wondered how an idea turns into a company, how product teams operate, or what a product manager does? In this talk, technology entrepreneur Ian Bell will walk through some of the key issues companies face when bringing a product from idea to reality. Engaging a variety of themes and tactics, Ian will demystify the way technology products are formed, tested, and funded, and discuss his experiences as co-creator of RingCentral and founder of startups RosterBot and Tingle.
Ian Bell is the Discovery Foundation Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Emily Carr in Fall 2018. This talk is produced in partnership with the Discovery Foundation through the Shumka Centre for Creative Entrepreneurship.
