#Startland is a coordinated response from the Vancouver startup community that aims to support immigrants and refugees with the equipment, training and work space they need to develop or upgrade their skills and find jobs in technology. At the same time, #Startland helps companies by developing the new talent they need in order to grow.
What we’ve achieved to date:
- Secured over 150 opportunities for training and education for Startland participants
- Raised over $490,000 in cash and in-kind donations from Startland partners
- Placed 31 people in full-time code bootcamps with our amazing partners RED Academy, CodeCore, and Lighthouse Labs
Founding partners of this project are Version One Ventures, Wantoo, and Living Labs at Emily Carr University of Art + Design.
