Lin is a Masters student at the School of Interactive Art and Technology at Simon Fraser University, working as part of the Interactive Design research center and associated Every Design Studio with Dr. Garnet Hertz as external thesis advisor.
His research aims to explore the role of DIY movement and interaction design in supporting the practice of folding. His Masters’ work aims to supplement existing occupation therapist Ad Hoc making practices, providing knowledge that supports occupational therapist designing for the patient, as well as closing the gap between assistive technologist and occupational therapist in relying on commercially available products.
