The 3 years of professional experience as an in-house designer in start-up companies taught April to value the role of communication in maintaining a close-knit working environment. Carrying the acquired knowledge and skills forward to the MDes program she’s attending at Emily Carr, April hopes to create spaces that enable storytelling and community engagement. She believes only through strengthening the sense of citizenship could current ecological issues be properly addressed and tackled.
